HUDCO concluded 62nd ITEC training programme on leadership skills for women

Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd. (HUDCO) has concluded the 62nd Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) training programme on “Leadership Skills for Women”, a two-week capacity-building initiative sponsored by the Ministry of External Affairs.
The programme, held from June 18 to 30 at HUDCO’s HSMI Hostel in the Asian Games Village Complex, brought together 24 women professionals from Iraq for training focused on leadership development, gender equity and institutional capacity building.
According to HUDCO, the programme was designed to strengthen participants’ leadership and decision-making abilities while enhancing their understanding of gender inclusion and preparing them to take on greater responsibilities within their organisations and professional fields.
The valedictory session was attended by HUDCO Chairman and Managing Director Sanjay Kulshrestha, Director (Corporate Planning) M Nagaraj, and Iraq’s Chargé d’Affaires, Oday Hatim Mohammed.
Addressing the participants, the dignitaries highlighted the importance of women’s leadership in advancing inclusive, equitable and sustainable development. They encouraged the participants to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the programme to contribute to institutional growth and community development in their respective countries.
The ITEC programme is a flagship capacity-building initiative of the Ministry of External Affairs aimed at strengthening international partnerships through training, institutional collaboration and the exchange of best practices.
Through specialised programmes such as “Leadership Skills for Women,” India seeks to support the professional development of women practitioners from partner countries while promoting global cooperation and leadership for sustainable development.
