Haryana CM inspects Ladwa grain market

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that the State Government is serious about safeguarding the interests of farmers and that no farmer will be put to unnecessary inconvenience during paddy procurement.
Every single grain of paddy brought by farmers to the grain markets will be procured. Government ministers, MLAs and he himself are inspecting the grain markets. Directions have also been issued to all Deputy Commissioners to closely monitor the procurement arrangements. In addition, a senior officer has been appointed as a nodal officer for each grain market. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini made a surprise visit to the Ladwa Grain Market in Kurukshetra district on Friday evening to take stock of the paddy procurement arrangements. He checked the moisture content of the paddy crop that had arrived at the market and interacted with farmers and arhtiyas to gather information about the procurement process.
The farmers and arhtiyas requested the Chief Minister to ensure smooth procurement of paddy. The Chief Minister appealed to farmers to bring paddy crop to the market that meets the prescribed moisture standard of 17 per cent. On the occasion, Chief Minister’s Office In-charge Kailash Saini, Deputy Commissioner Vishram Kumar Meena, SDM Rajesh Kumar Soni, Municipal Council Chairperson Sakshi Khurana, Market Committee Chairman Dr. Ganesh Dutt, Secretary Sant Kumar Saini, Market Committee President Rajiv Kumar Arya, and several other prominent persons were present.
