Govt holds Udyam Samvad 2026 to boost MSME growth
The Delhi Government’s Industries Department held ‘Udyam Samvad 2026’ at Delhi Sachivalaya to connect MSMEs, startups, entrepreneurs, Self Help Groups, industry associations, and senior officials to discuss Government support and opportunities for growth, innovation and business expansion.
Industries Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa inaugurated the event in the presence of senior officials of the Industries Department, DSIIDC, Ministry of MSME, Government of India, entrepreneurs, Self Help Groups and representatives of industry associations.
The minister said that under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the Delhi Government is working to build a strong, supportive industrial environment. During the event, the Minister released the ‘Compendium of Schemes for MSMEs & Startups’, which brings together details of more than 50 schemes from the Government. At the event, the Minister launched the ‘Compendium of Schemes for MSMEs & Startups’, which lists over 50 schemes from both the Government of India and the Delhi Government.
This resource helps entrepreneurs find support for finance, capacity building, technology, market access, and business development. particularly committed to empowering women entrepreneurs, in line with the vision of the Narendra Modi Government, because their participation is essential for inclusive entrepreneurship and sustainable economic growth.
From obtaining licences and registrations to identifying markets, buyers and online platforms, we want to guide entrepreneurs through the entire journey,” said Sardar Manjinder Singh Sirsa.
The government is rolling out the New Industrial Policy, New Startup Policy, New Export Promotion Policy, and the Delhi Ease of Doing Business Bill 2026.
The government is also setting up an Export Promotion Cell to help businesses reach international markets.
Sirsa highlighted that through the Credit Guarantee Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) scheme, the Delhi Government has given guarantees to help Micro and Small Enterprises grow. The Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) programme also offers MSMEs and young entrepreneurs training and support to join the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and other online platforms.
The Delhi Government is creating support systems for women entrepreneurs, especially those with home-based businesses. A dedicated team will help them with registration and other steps to join the formal business sector.
The government has issued tenders to improve roads in unauthorised industrial areas and strengthen infrastructure. Plans also include building exhibition centres and business support spaces in these areas to help entrepreneurs.
The Delhi Government is working to make procedures simpler and offer more support to entrepreneurs, following the central government’s focus on Minimum Government, Maximum Governance.
The one-day ‘Udyam Samvad 2026’ also included sessions on schemes from the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, the Trade Receivables Discounting System (TReDS), and export-related programmes. Sessions also included the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), financial institutions on startup schemes, SIDBI schemes, CGTMSE, and banks.
