Some teachings arrive not through scripture, but through a life lived simply in front of us.
Neem Karoli Baba, revered across India and known widely through devotees like Ram Dass and Steve Jobs, rarely offered long discourses. When asked how to live rightly, his answer stayed remarkably consistent: feed people, serve people, love everyone and remember God.
He lived this instruction visibly, ensuring that no one who visited his Ashram, regardless of status or background, ever left without being fed, seated and treated with equal warmth.
His teachings resisted complexity deliberately. He seemed to suggest that most spiritual confusion dissolves the moment we simply act with generosity and love toward whoever is in front of us, rather than searching endlessly for more elaborate answers.
We often complicate our spiritual seeking, chasing techniques, retreats and philosophies, while overlooking the ordinary person beside us who could use a meal, a kind word, or simple attention.
Today, feed someone, literally or figuratively, serve one person without expecting anything back, and let that simple act be your practice, rather than waiting for a more profound spiritual insight to arrive first.
