EVA Air to launch nonstop Taipei–Delhi service
EVA Air will launch a new nonstop passenger service between Taipei and Delhi on December 1, 2026, marking a significant expansion of its South Asia network and making it the only Taiwan-based airline to operate nonstop passenger flights to India.
Bookings for the new route are now open through EVA Air’s website and authorized travel agencies. The service will operate five times a week using Airbus A330-300 aircraft. “The launch of nonstop Taipei–Delhi service represents an important milestone in EVA Air’s network development,” said Clay Sun, President of EVA Air. “Growing connections across the manufacturing, semiconductor, artificial intelligence, and technology industries continue to drive closer economic ties between Taiwan and India.
Our new Delhi route not only provides a more efficient travel option for business and leisure passengers but also strengthens connectivity between India and North America through our Taipei hub.” The new service is expected to improve travel convenience for passengers who currently rely on connections through other hubs.
Through EVA Air’s partnership with fellow Star Alliance member Air India, travelers arriving in Delhi will have access to seamless onward connections to major destinations across India. Likewise, passengers from India will be able to connect through Taipei to EVA Air’s extensive North American network, serving growing demand from business travelers, students, researchers, and those visiting family and friends.
Eligible Indian nationals traveling to the United States or Canada may also benefit from Taiwan’s conditional visa-waiver transit program, allowing easier stopovers in Taiwan while supporting inbound tourism.
As India’s political and commercial capital, Delhi also serves as the gateway to the country’s renowned Golden Triangle tourism circuit, connecting Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. In partnership with leading travel companies, EVA Air will offer six- to nine-day escorted tour packages featuring UNESCO World Heritage Sites, cultural attractions, premium accommodations, and Mandarin-speaking guides.
