Two killed, five injured in bus-auto collision in UP's Etah

Two persons were killed and five injured on Sunday when a roadways bus collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw on the Etah-Aliganj road here, police said.

The auto-rickshaw was travelling towards Etah when it collided with a roadways bus of the Bewar depot near Parauli Suhagpur under the Jaithra police station area, they said.

The impact badly damaged the auto-rickshaw while the bystanders rescued the passengers trapped inside the vehicle and informed the police.

The Jaithra police reached the spot and took the injured to a Community Health Centre in Jaithra.

Those killed were identified as Sakko (45) and Gulfan Singh (45), while Chandrapal (72), Nandkishore (50), Munni Devi (60), Kanha (12) and Satana (35) were injured, the police said.

Additional Superintendent of Police Shwetabh Pandey confirmed that two people were killed and five others injured in the accident.
