Digital governance made administration more effective, transparent: CM Bhajanlal

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Wednesday said digital governance has made administration more effective, transparent, accountable and citizen-centric, asserting that technology should serve as a tool for social inclusion and public welfare.
Addressing the inaugural session of the 29th National e-Governance Conference at the Rajasthan International Centre, Sharma said the benefits of digital governance must reach the last individual in society and no citizen should remain deprived of development.
Highlighting the Centre’s initiatives, he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ensured direct transfer of benefits to beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), eliminating the role of middlemen with the help of Jan Dhan, Aadhaar and mobile connectivity.
“The aim is to make governance simple, effective and affordable. Platforms like UPI have revolutionised digital transactions, while technologies such as artificial intelligence, data analytics and cyber security are strengthening governance systems,” Sharma said.
