Dhruv Rathee, Prakash Raj to join Bengaluru People’s Tribunal on SIR

YouTuber Dhruv Rathee and actor-activist Prakash Raj are among those expected to participate in a People’s Tribunal on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls at Bengaluru’s Freedom Park on Thursday.
The event, organised by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) and civil society groups, will bring together people from across Karnataka who claim they were affected by the voter-list revision. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and co-convener Ashutosh Ranka are also expected to attend. The programme is scheduled to begin at 10.30 am.
Prakash Raj said on social media that alleged “victims of SIR” from across the state would participate and urged citizens to attend. Rathee later confirmed his participation in a video posted on X.
The tribunal will be followed by a “chappal protest” announced by Ranka. Organisers say the demonstration will be held in solidarity with women and will also highlight their concerns over alleged wrongful deletions from electoral rolls.
The Bengaluru programme comes amid wider protests and criticism surrounding the SIR exercise, with organisers demanding action over alleged voter deletions and changes to electoral rolls.
