DERC chairperson visits PPCL’s PPS-III in Bawana

SCL Das, Chairperson, Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC), along with Ajay Kumar Jain, Member (Law), DERC, visited the 1,371.2 MW Pragati Power Station-III (PPS-III), Bawana.

The visit was undertaken to review the operations of the largest-capacity power generation plant in northern India and Delhi, which plays a vital role in meeting the uninterrupted power supply requirements of Delhi consumers. PPS-III also serves as a load-centre generating station and forms an important part of the islanding scheme.

The dignitaries were warmly welcomed by Amit Ahuja, Director (Technical), along with RB Meena, Executive Director (Technical), PPS-III, and RK Yadav, General Manager (Commercial). During the visit, the dignitaries toured the PPS-III plant site and were briefed on the power station’s operations and functioning.
