Delhi Minorities Commission pays tribute to Bhagat Singh

A floral tribute and commemorative programme was organised at the office of the Delhi Minorities Commission on the birth anniversary of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh. Delhi Minorities Commission Chairman Nirmal Jain, along with Members Kuldeep Singh and Mohammad Haroon, was prominently present on the occasion.
Several social workers, teachers and representatives from different communities, including Jagdeep Singh Kohli, Vivek Singh Mata, Balwinder Singh, Charanjit Singh Rajput, Manpreet Singh Hanspal, Jaspreet Singh Mata, Harpreet Singh Kalra, Narendra Singh, Darshan Singh, Faiz Khan, Goldy Randhawa and Darshan Pal Singh, among others, also attended the programme. The dignitaries and participants paid floral tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh and remembered his supreme sacrifice for the nation.
Addressing the gathering, Delhi Minorities Commission Chairman Nirmal Jain said that Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta had recently paid floral tributes at the statue of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, and inspired by the occasion, the Delhi Minorities Commission also organised the tribute programme.
Commission Member Sardar Kuldeep Singh said that Sardar Bhagat Singh played a significant role in awakening the spirit of freedom and patriotism among the people of the country. He highlighted various aspects of Bhagat Singh’s life and elaborated on his contribution, sacrifice and commitment to the nation.
Commission Member Mohammad Haroon said this was the first programme organised by the Delhi Minorities Commission after its constitution, and that it was an honour to dedicate the Commission’s first programme to the memory of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
The programme concluded with a solemn tribute to Shaheed Bhagat Singh and a remembrance of his immense contribution and sacrifice. The participants said that it is the collective responsibility of society to preserve the memory of those brave sons who sacrificed their lives for the country’s freedom and to pass their ideals on to future generations.
