32-year-old man held in Delhi for alleged sexual assault after luring woman for eye check-up
A 32-year-old man has been arrested in Delhi’s Keshav Puram for allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting a 43-year-old woman after luring her to his residence on the pretext of arranging an eye check-up, police said on Saturday.
The accused, identified as Vikas, is a resident of Tri Nagar and was arrested by a team from the Keshav Puram police station following a complaint by the woman.
According to the woman’s complaint, Vikas allegedly told her he would facilitate an eye examination and took her to his home. Once there, he allegedly made her unconscious before sexually assaulting her, police said.
Following her complaint, police registered an FIR under relevant sections of law and took the accused into custody. Further investigation is underway, officials said.
