Delhi Court grants bail to accused in Rs 10 crore Threat Case

The Patiala House Court has granted regular bail to Gurpinder Singh, an accused in a case involving alleged threats and a demand for `10 crore from defence entrepreneur Sahil Luthra.
Singh was granted bail on August 17 by Judicial Magistrate First Class Animesh Kumar. He had been in custody since June 13, when he was arrested along with Jaswant Singh and Shamsher Singh in connection with the case.
According to the complaint and prosecution’s case, Luthra, founder of Vijyan Trishul Defence Solution Private Limited and a resident of Chanakyapuri, allegedly received threatening WhatsApp messages and calls from international numbers. The messages purportedly demanded `10 crore and threatened harm to Luthra and his family if the money was not paid.
The alleged threats were received during August-September 2025 and again in June this year.
An FIR was initially registered at Chanakyapuri Police Station before the investigation was transferred to the Crime Branch of the Delhi Police. The prosecution has alleged that the three accused were part of a conspiracy connected with the threats.
