Delhi BJP reshuffles OBC, Kisan Morcha units, names new district chiefs

The Delhi BJP has announced fresh organisational appointments to its OBC Morcha and Kisan Morcha, naming new office-bearers and district presidents for both wings within a span of two days this week.
The appointments were made with the approval of Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra and following consultations with the party’s senior leadership, according to letters issued by the two frontal organisations.
In the first round of appointments, dated August 26, OBC Morcha state president Santosh Pal named eight vice presidents for the Delhi unit: Darshan Singh Verma, Lokesh Nambardar, Ram Naresh Ahirwal, Shyam Kumar Sen, Mahesh Awana, Manjeet Beniwal, Himanshu Yadav and Satish Lohiya. Ram Khiladi Yadav, Akash Jeldar and Mohit Nagar were appointed general secretaries of the OBC Morcha, while Brijesh Jaiswal was named treasurer, according to the appointment letter.
Eight leaders were also named as ministers within the Morcha, including Ajay Saini, Rambir Sain, Anita Chaudhary, Kamlesh Yadav, Naresh Chaudhary, Priyanka Singh, Gaurav Baghel and Rohit Sahrawat. Akhilesh Kumar was appointed office secretary. The OBC Morcha also announced four spokespersons, Varun Saini, Satish alias Bittu, S.S. Gola and Kapil Nagar, along with Mohit Verma as media head, Manish Yadav as social media head and Akash Verma as IT head. In a separate list issued the same day, the OBC Morcha named district presidents for 14 districts across Delhi, including Lokesh Chandela for Keshav Puram, Sanjay Gehlot for Chandni Chowk, Nitin Chaudhary for North East, Sompal Panchal for New Shahdara, Gaurav Dedha for Mayur Vihar, and Manoj Chaudhary for Shahdara.
Other district presidents named include Ashwani Yadav for New Delhi, Rishi Tanwar for Karol Bagh, Ashok Verma for North West, Umesh Vishwakarma for Outer Delhi, Neeraj Gupta for West Delhi, Deepak Dagar for Najafgarh, Balraj Singh Chaudhary for Mehrauli and Pushpendra Rathore for South Delhi. Two days later, on August 28, the Kisan Morcha’s state president Devendra Solanki announced a similar set of appointments for the party’s farmer-focused wing. Pramod Chaudhary, Urmila Chaudhary, Arun Chaudhary, Satpal Malik, Sandeep Dedha, Sunil Chauhan, Devendra Banke Pahalwan and Arvind Nagar were named vice presidents of the Kisan Morcha. Rajpal Rana, Anup Chaudhary and Jitendra Khatri were appointed general secretaries, while Rahul Mathur was named treasurer. The Kisan Morcha also announced eight ministers, including Sunny Dedha, Dr Ravindra Dabas, Anmol Rana, Manvendra Singh, Dr Prateek Chaudhary, Anand Dahiya, Sumit Rana and Munesh Chauhan, with Bhupendra Singh appointed office secretary.
Vinod Jayas was named chief spokesperson of the Kisan Morcha, with Manoj Tyagi, Sunil Shyoran and Abhay Kalra appointed as spokespersons. Narayan Pratap Singh was named media head, Devvrat Kumar as social media head and Jatin Khari as IT head.
