BRO holds Chief Engineers’ Works Conference for eastern region in Guwahati

A two-day Chief Engineers’ Works Conference of all Border Roads Organisation (BRO) Projects of the Eastern Region was successfully conducted in Guwahati on April 28 and 29 under the chairmanship of Jitendra Prasad, Additional Director General Border Roads (East).
The conference witnessed the participation of all seven Chief Engineers of BRO Projects in the Eastern Region along with the Commandant, Engineer Base Workshop (EBW).
The primary objective of the conference was to deliberate on the roadmap for the current financial year and to formulate effective strategies for achieving the laid-down targets.
Comprehensive discussions were held on enhancing operational efficiency, optimising resource utilisation and ensuring timely completion of infrastructure projects. Emphasis was also laid on adopting best practices to improve execution timelines and overall project delivery.
Addressing the gathering, the Addl DGBR (East) stressed the need to accelerate the pace of works while maintaining the highest standards of quality in all ongoing and future projects.
He underscored that quality infrastructure is vital not only for operational effectiveness but also for sustaining public confidence and organisational credibility.
The conference concluded with a clear focus on achieving higher targets and expediting the completion of strategically important road projects. The deliberations are expected to inject renewed momentum into ongoing works and further strengthen the commitment of Border Roads Organisation towards nation-building through robust infrastructure development.
