Brigadier NC Khuman reviews training at 1 Assam Battalion NCC Camp

Brigadier NC Khuman, Group Commander, Guwahati Group, NCC, visited the Combined Annual Training Camp 34 being conducted by 1 Assam Battalion NCC at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Nalbari, on Wednesday. The CATC-34 commenced on May 23 and will conclude on June 1, 2026.

The Group Commander was briefed by the Commanding Officer, 1 Assam Bn NCC, on training activities being undertaken by over 520 cadets from schools and colleges across districts and the town of Kamrup Metro, Nalbari, Baksa, Barma and Rangia. Cadets are undergoing training in drill, weapon handling, map reading, field craft, social service and community development during the 10-day camp.

Brig NC Khuman inspected training areas, witnessed presentations by cadets and interacted with them. He emphasised the role of NCC in building character, discipline and leadership among youth. “NCC is shaping nation builders. Use this camp to learn skills that will serve you and Bharat for life,” he told the cadets.
