Business inquiries to the tune of $2.8 billion, along with textile investment commitments from various States worth Rs 14,300 crore, were generated during the first three days of the global textile event Bharat Tex 2026.
The four-day Bharat Tex 2026, which concluded on July 17, brought together 1,647 exhibitors, nearly 95,000 business visitors, 11,315 buyers, including 6,090 international buyers, 3,461 delegates and participants from 138 countries, according to the Textile Ministry.
“Bharat Tex 2026 catalysed around Rs 14,300 crore of textile investment commitments with over 30 MoUs signed by various States, including Karnataka (Rs 2,821 crore, 11,020 jobs), Bihar (Rs 1,476 crore, over 40,500 jobs), Maharashtra (Rs 1,095 crore) and Andhra Pradesh (Rs 4,100 crore),” the ministry said.
It said the above figures reinforce the event’s role in driving decentralised, State-led growth in India’s textile and apparel sector.
