Assam Rifles assists in recovery of civil vehicle near Zochachhua, Mizoram

Assam Rifles promptly responded to a civil vehicle accident in which a civilian vehicle had fallen off the road approximately 300 metres short of Zochachhua Bridge towards Zorinpui in Lawngtlai District, Mizoram. Demonstrating swift coordination and commitment towards public assistance, a recovery operation was immediately initiated at the site. A joint recovery effort involving one JCB from the Assam Rifles and one from the SIB was launched to retrieve the vehicle from the difficult terrain. Troops on the ground extended all possible assistance and coordinated efforts to ensure the safe and timely conduct of the recovery operation. The prompt response reflects Assam Rifles’ continued commitment towards humanitarian assistance and support to local communities in remote border areas, reaffirming its role as the Sentinels of the North East.
