Army jawan alleges attack on elderly parents over land dispute in Andhra Pradesh’s Nandyal

An Army jawan from Chanugondla village in Dhone mandal of Andhra Pradesh’s Nandyal district has alleged that his elderly parents were attacked amid a land dispute involving his family.

The jawan, identified as Chennakesavulu, raised the allegations in a video shared on social media, saying some people attacked his parents with sticks and abused them.

Chennakesavulu said he was worried about the safety of his parents while he was away from home serving in the Army. He said it was painful that while he was serving at the country’s borders, his elderly parents were facing difficulties in their own village.

He appealed to the authorities to protect his parents and ensure justice for his family.

The video has since circulated widely on social media.

However, the circumstances surrounding the alleged attack, the identities of those involved and the police action in the matter could not be independently verified.

Police have not yet provided a detailed account of the allegations.
