Ajay Devgn-starrer 'Drishyam: The Conclusion' earns Rs 179 crore in two days

Ajay Devgn-starrer "Drishyam: The Conclusion", the third and final instalment of the crime thriller franchise, has earned Rs 179 crore at the global box office in its first two days, according to the makers.
Directed by Abhishek Pathak, the film released in theatres on Friday and opened with Rs 93 crore globally. It followed that with Rs 86 crore on Saturday.
The film has received largely positive reviews, with critics praising its performances, suspense and twists.
Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar, who once again finds himself caught in a cat-and-mouse game with the law as he tries to protect his family.
Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Ishita Dutta and Mrunal Jadhav also reprise their roles in the concluding chapter. Jaideep Ahlawat joins the franchise as Rajveer Singh Tomar, a crime branch officer pursuing the case.
The "Drishyam" franchise began with the Nishikant Kamat-directed film in 2015. It was adapted from the Malayalam hit starring Mohanlal.
The story follows Vijay, a cable operator who goes to extraordinary lengths to protect his family after his daughter becomes involved in a crime.
The story continued with "Drishyam 2", released in 2022, which emerged as one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of that year.
"Drishyam: The Conclusion" is produced by Panorama Studios and presented by Star Studio18. The screenplay has been written by Pathak, Aamil Keeyan Khan and Parveez Shaikh.
