Agra man missing for 45 days found buried beneath bathroom floor, wife arrested

A shocking murder case has come to light in Uttar Pradesh's Agra, where a 44-year-old man who had been missing for 45 days was found buried beneath the bathroom floor of his own house. The victim, Surendra Kumar Sharma, had been reported missing in May, with his wife, Ruby Sharma, repeatedly telling relatives and police that he would eventually return.
The case took a dramatic turn when police revisited the house during the investigation and noticed freshly laid bathroom tiles and new plaster. Growing suspicious, officers ordered the floor to be dug up, leading to the recovery of Surendra's decomposed body.
Ruby Sharma was taken into custody after allegedly confessing to the crime during questioning. Police are also investigating whether anyone else helped her bury the body and conceal the murder.
According to investigators, the exact motive behind the murder is still being examined, while forensic and post-mortem reports are awaited. The gruesome discovery has stunned residents and drawn comparisons with other recent high-profile murder cases involving elaborate attempts to hide evidence.
Authorities say further investigation is underway to establish the complete sequence of events.
