25-year-old college employee found hanging from tree in Aligarh

A 25-year-old employee of an educational institution on the outskirts of Aligarh was found hanging from a tree on Monday, August 31, police said.

Ankit, who worked at Rajendra Singh International College in Madraak village, was found hanging from a tree by some college staff members around 9 am, they said.

News of the incident soon spread, drawing a large crowd to the spot. Ankit's family members also arrived and raised doubts over the circumstances surrounding his death, pointing fingers at some people, according to police.

Circle Officer Kamlesh Kumar said the body had been sent for post-mortem examination.

"The police will investigate the case keeping every possibility in mind," Kumar told reporters.

Police said further action would be taken on the basis of the post-mortem report and the findings of the investigation.
