14 ITBP officials awarded Police Medals on 80th Independence Day

A total of 14 officials of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) have been announced to be conferred with Police Medals on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day, 2026.

Of the 14 officials, three will receive the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service, while 11 will be conferred the Medal for Meritorious Service.

President’s Medal for Distinguished Service

The three ITBP officials selected for the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service are:

1. Mandhir Ekka, Inspector General (GD)

2. Nishith Chandra, Deputy Inspector General (GD)

3. Mohan Singh, Inspector (GD)

Medal for Meritorious Service

The 11 officials selected for the Medal for Meritorious

Service are:

1. Rahul Yadav, Commandant (GD)

2. Chhering Tashi Bodh, Commandant (GD)

3. Arvind Chandra, Second-in-Command (GD)

4. Jagdish Chand Masiwal, Deputy Commandant (Office)

5. Rajendra Singh, Subedar Major (GD)

6. Bishan Dass, Inspector (Telecom)

7. Mohan Singh Dogra, Inspector (CM)

8. Narender Singh, Sub Inspector (GD)

9. Nandan Kumar Singh, Sub Inspector (Pioneer)

10. Chain Singh, Assistant Sub Inspector (GD)

11. Til Bahadur Chhetri, Head Constable (KS)
