124th SLBC meeting held in New Delhi

The 124th meeting of the State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC), Delhi, was held on Wednesday at Hyatt Regency, New Delhi. The meeting was chaired by Principal Secretary Santosh Vaidya and M Parmasivam, Executive Director, Punjab National Bank.
The meeting was attended by several senior officials and banking-sector dignitaries, including Sarada Prasan Mohanty, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, New Delhi; Nazuk Kumar, Managing Director, Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC); Rajneesh Gupta, Joint Commissioner of Delhi Police; MM Ayeppan, Joint Secretary, Department of Financial Services; and Nabin Roy, Chief General Manager, NABARD.
The proceedings were coordinated by Debarchan Sahoo, General Manager and SLBC Convenor. Senior officials from various banks, Delhi State Heads and other distinguished representatives also participated in the meeting. During the meeting, Santosh D Vaidya has reviewed the performance of banks under PM Suryaagar and various social security schemes.
MM Ayyappan has advised the bank to improve TAT in lending. Sarada Prasan Mohanty, Regional Director, RBI, has said that with coordination with SLBC, we will monitor MSME growth of banking sector. Nazuk Kumar briefed the participating banks on the Delhi State DCGS scheme, where 95 per cent cgtmse covers is available. She encouraged banks to actively extend finance to eligible beneficiaries under these schemes and emphasised the role of credit support in promoting entrepreneurship and economic development in Delhi.
