1 in every 7 food orders now comes from 99 Store: Swiggy

Food delivery aggregator Swiggy on Thursday said it has witnessed remarkable growth in the affordability-led offering ‘99 Store’ since its launch a year ago, with the platform accounting for one in every seven orders through the disruptive offering.
Sharing their experience of 99 Store, Ayush Kapoor, Chief Marketing Officer, Theobroma shared “Theobroma's 99 Store story over the last 12 months is one of the quiet compounding stories. The second half of the year outran the first: items grew 52%, and the customer base grew even faster at 59%. For a premium patisserie brand foraying into value-led formats, this kind of consistent, accelerating growth without any evidence of brand dilution is exactly the signal we would want to see. 99 Store is steadily widening Theobroma's reach in Mumbai, one new customer at a time, and the pace is picking up.”
In the last one year, 99 Store has expanded to over 500 cities with an extensive network of over 1.8 lakh restaurant partners. 99 Store has a dedicated section within the Swiggy Food app. While it offers food across categories, the most popular food choices on 99 Store include Bowls and Thalis, South Indian Breakfast, Burgers and American food, Pizzas, Beverages, Chaats and other snacks. Sidharth Bhakoo, Chief Business Officer, Swiggy Food Marketplace, said, “The response over the last year has been phenomenal, with monthly orders growing 2.4x over the last year. Looking ahead, we are committed to expanding our partner network and bringing an even wider assortment of choices to our 99 Store customers.”
