In a major step towards advancing sustainable building solutions in India, Keimfarben GmbH (KEIM), a German multinational and global pioneer in silicate paint technology, has entered into a strategic license partnership with Zydex Industries, a leading Indian multinational known for its innovative and eco-friendly technologies across multiple sectors including paints, waterproofing, roads, agro, and textiles.

The collaboration aims to bring KEIM’s globally acclaimed silicate paint technology to India through local manufacturing and distribution led by Zydex Industries. The partnership represents a significant milestone in India’s architectural coatings industry, enabling architects, developers, and infrastructure projects to access mineral-based, long-lasting, and environmentally compatible paint solutions.

Silicate paints have long been celebrated for their exceptional durability, breathability, and sustainability, with many silicate-painted buildings in Europe standing strong for more than 130 years without repainting. KEIM’s silicate paints are a preferred choice among top international architecture firms such as Zaha Hadid Architects, Foster + Partners, Rem Koolhaas, MVRDV, and Moshe Safdie. Iconic landmarks like the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, Hunters Point Library in New York, the Abu Dhabi F1 Circuit, and the Sydney Opera House have all benefited from KEIM’s advanced coating systems.

By partnering with Zydex, KEIM aims to introduce the same heritage of quality and innovation to the rapidly growing Indian construction sector. The paints promise superior colour stability, weather resistance, and long-term sustainability, aligning perfectly with the evolving needs of India’s infrastructure and green-building goals.

Commenting on the collaboration, Dr. Moulik Ranka, Director of Zydex Group, said, “Our vision has always been to provide sustainable and high-performance solutions. KEIM’s silicate technology aligns perfectly with this mission, delivering beauty, durability, and environmental responsibility in one product.”

Echoing the sentiment, Mr. Rüdiger Lugert, CEO of Keimfarben GmbH, emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership, stating, “India is one of the fastest-growing construction markets, and we are excited to bring our legacy of silicate innovation directly on-site here through our partnership with Zydex. Together, we aim to redefine expectations for paint longevity and sustainability.”

Adding to this, Mr. Amrendra Mishra, COO of Zydex Paints and Waterproofing, highlighted the impact of the alliance:

“With this cooperation, India’s architectural community gains access to a proven technology with a legacy of more than 145 years that continues to inspire and protect some of the world’s most iconic structures.”
