In a landmark decision, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to appoint youth with management/technical degrees to assist the elected representatives in the works at village panchayats, urban bodies, district panchayats, and at block level. Not only will they cooperate in the day-to-day work of the elected representatives, but will also prove useful in preparing development plans and economic management with their professional skills. The Uttar Pradesh government has also decided to provide special training to these youth so that they understand the policies and priorities of the government in a better way.
These youth will be the ‘Brand Ambassadors’ of the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government, claimed a government spokesman here on Saturday. The vision of public representatives, the experience of government officials and the professional acumen of these youth will surely be fulfilled when they work with a coordinated spirit, he added.
The experience of working directly with gram panchayats, urban bodies, district panchayats, and kshetra panchayats will enhance the skills of these youth. In this regard, a detailed action plan is being prepared by the Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Urban Development departments in coordination. To make a difference in the longer run, it is important to engage the young generation in the political processes. This will help them know their rights and also provide them with the necessary knowledge to participate in a meaningful way at all levels.
