Reminded of paying back the loan a trigger happy youth shot dead his friend in Shahjahanpur district on Sunday noon. During the firing a bullet hit his sister and she died also in the attack. The miscreant also shot at one his neighbour who reached the scene to inquire of the incident and fled the scene to escape his arrest.
According to reports, Akhilesh aka Chanchal Yadav (22) of lalateli Bajariya under Sadar Bazaar police station had gone to his friend Vipin Saxena’s house in Sadar Bazaar locality to demand the loan he had given to him. The issue snowballed in a verbal spat and Vipin lost cool on being reminded of paying the cash. He whipped out a pistol and opened fire at Akhilesh. As Vipin missed the target, the bullet hit his sister at her forehead and she died on the spot.
The miscreant then again fired at Akhilesh and pumped a bullet in his chest thus killing him on the spot. Hearing the gunshot, Vipin’s neighbour Sachin Verma reached the scene. Sensing challenge from him, Vipin shot at him and fled the scene. Huge police force reached the place on information. The locals surrounded the place after the incident. The police rushed trio to hospital where Akhilesh and the girl were declared brought dead. Sachin is at hospital for treatment and his condition is said to be critical.
The police had registered a case in this connection and further investigation of the case are on. Sources, privy to investigation disclosed that the motive behind the murder was not purely a dispute over money related issue. "It is still inexplicable under what conditions Vipin’s sister reached the scene where Vipin and Akhilesh were fighting and a probe on this line is on," they said.
