In a sensational incident at Mathura, a 17-year-old girl was burnt alive by a youth for resisting sexual advances in Sadar Bazar police station area on Tuesday. The victim’s uncle alleged that Bhola had been stalking the class XI student for quite some time and used to pass lewd comments. On Tuesday afternoon while the girl’s parents were out for some work, Bhola barged into the house and tried to rape the girl. When she resisted, the miscreant doused her with kerosene and set her afire.
Meanwhile in Rae Bareli, three teenaged girls were killed after being hit by a truck in lalganj Kotwali area on Wednesdaymorning. Puja and Jyoti (18) and Punam (16) were jogging by the roadside as a preparation to get recruited in the Police department when the tragedy took struck. Another jogger Sunder lal was injured in the mishap. A case was registered against the driver of the loader truck and the bodies were sent for post-mortem.
In another mishap in Gorakhpur, two youths were killed when the motorcycle they were riding, was hit by a truck. The youths were crossing the road in a place under Sahajanwa police station when the truck hit them on Wednesdayafternoon. While one of them, identified as Bhola (28) died on the spot, the other Anand (27) was taken to a nearby primary health centre where he succumbed to his injuries. The bodies have been sent for post mortem.
