A youth was brutally battered to death after he alleged to have teased a local girl in lalitpur on Tuesday night. His mother was also critically injured while making efforts to rescue her son. A case has been registered in this regard by the local police who claimed to have arrested three of the named accused while one more is still absconding.
Reports said that one Rakshpal ala Baderaja, hailing from Terai Phatak area of Talbehat in lalitpur, was nabbed by his neighbours identified as Rakesh, Puran, Jagbhan Singh and lakhan Singh, on Wednesday night. Alleging that Baderaja had teased their kin, all the four attacked him with sticks and roads and brutally battered him to death. Baderaja’s mother Devkumari, who saw the accused beating her son rushed to her rescue but the miscreants also attacked her in which she too was critically injured and is now battaling for her life. The cops who learnt of the incident claimed to have swung into action and held Rakesh, Puran and lakhan, while hunt was on for the fourth accused Jagbhan Singh. The body of the victim was also sent for post-mortem examination.
Meanwhile, a headless body of an unknown woman was recovered in Muzaffarnagar while in Gazipur, a retired engineer and his wife were critically injured after some miscreants attacked them in the wee hours of Wednesday. The cops who registered a case in this regard claimed to have arrested one of the accused identified as Ramesh Rai. They cited old dispute behind the attack. Reports said that 70-year-old Awadesh Rai, hailing from Chandipur area of Karanda in Gazipur, was having an old land dispute with Rammurti Rai and his brother Ramesh Rai. In the wee hours of Wednesday, both Rammurti Rai and Ramesh Rai, along with one unknown persons barged inside the residence of Awadesh Rai and brutally attacked him with sharp edged weapons and also fired at him in which he and his wife were critically injured. luckily, the accused took the two as dead so they escaped after which some local residents shifted the couple to hospital and informed the local police. The cops after learning that the attacked was made in connection with property dispute had raided the houses of the accused and managed to nab Ramesh Rai. Further investigations are on in the matter and efforts were also made to nab the other two accused.
In Muzaffarnagar, some one informed the police control room on early Wednesday morning that a headless body of a woman was lying inside a nullah at Kachauli area of Kotwali. The cops rushed and found that someone killed the woman, who was in her mid-thirties and later dumped the body in the nullah after cutting her head to conceal the crime. A case has been registered and all out efforts were made to maintain identity of the victim before moving ahead with the investigation.
