Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday said the entire nation was with the families of the CRPF men martyred in Pulwama and the country would give a befitting reply to Pakistan for its nefarious designs.
On Monday, Yogi visited the family of CRPF martyr Vijay Kumar Maurya at their home in Chapia village of Deoria and paid floral tributes to the braveheart even as the villagers raised anti-Pakistan slogans.
The Chief Minister also met the martyr’s wife Vijay Laxmi and other members of the family and assured them of all assistance from the government.
“The country will give a befitting reply to Pakistan for this dastardly act. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the sacrifice of these martyrs would not go waste. But we have to wait and support the country on every issue,” Yogi said.
Later, the martyr’s wife said that though her family was happy with the Chief Minister’s visit, they were not satisfied.
“We have passed on our demands to the Chief Minister,,” she said.
The soldier’s father, however, expressed satisfaction after the Chief Minister’s visit.
Meanwhile, Yogi also paid rich tributes to Army Major DS Dhondhiyal, head constable Sevaram, constables Ajay Kumar and Hari Singh, who were killed in a gun battle with terrorists in Pulwama (J&K) on Monday and expressed his condolences to the bereaved families.
Yogi said these bravehearts would always be remembered for their supreme sacrifice in the line of duty and in defence of the motherland.
