A day after the BJP was pummelled at Kairana and Noorpur bypolls, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that corrupt leaders have ganged up against nationalist leader like Narendra Modi as he initiated reforms which was not to the liking of some people.
Addressing a meeting in SP bastion - Etawah on Friday, Yogi said that corrupt political parties, who are getting support from anti-national oufits, have ganged up against Prime Minister Modi because he was trying to take the country to new heights.
“All political parties have united against the BJP. A party like Congress which is neckdeep in corruption and casteist parties like Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Samajwadi Party (SP), have joined hands against the BJP. This is a bad sign for the country as these are trying to thwart the progress of the country,” Yogi said in the meeting at Numaish Ground of Etawah.
The CM also inaugurated and laid the foundation of projects worth Rs 654 crore in Etawah that ranged from building infrastructure to providing social security to poor people of the region.
Without directly talking about the party’s bypoll debacle, Yogi aimed barbs at Samajwadi Party saying that the previous government thrived on `parivarvaad’ and ‘jaativaad’ which should end. “All residents of the state are equal. The welfare schemes are meant for all and fruits of these schemes should reach the people of all caste and creed,” Yogi said.
“Our government has a vision to develop Etawah as a tourist destination. local products will be promoted under ‘One District, One Product’ scheme in which youth will get jobs at their doorsteps. Exodus of youth from villages to cities will stop and the region will make its mark. This region will henceforth not be epitomized as one belonging to one family and one clan,” Yogi asserted.
The CM said that his government has started several welfare schemes. “Youth will get job on the basis of their talent. The government is going to increase honorarium of instructors. Soon we will take a decision to increase payments of Aanganwadi workers and Asha Karykarta. Shiksha Mitra will be absorbed as teachers very soon,” he assured.
