Yogi making lofty announcements, says Akhilesh

Published on:

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav said that as the UP assembly elections were round the corner, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was busy making phoney announcements and touring different states.

He said Uttar Pradesh had never witnessed such a situation where the chief minister was ignoring the responsibility of his state and was more interested in campaigning in elections in other states.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, Akhilesh Yadav said that the chief minister was apparently aware of the fact that the people of the state were disillusioned with the Bharatiya Janata Party and the directionless regime of the Yogi Adityanath.

He said never in the history of UP, a chief minister ran the government merely on the basis of tall claims and lofty announcements.

He said Yogi Adityanath had no time for his state and he was busy in West Bengal, Bihar, and Hyderabad.

The SP president said that the BJP had promised sabka saath, sabka vikas and sabka vishwas, while the people of the state got police batons-bullets, tear-gas shells and water cannons.
