Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday launched a scathing attack on Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party, and Lok Dal by labeling them as ‘opportunistic’ and ‘anarchist’ parties.
The chief minister said that when these parties were in power they orchestrated riots while no riots had been reported in the last six years under the double-engine government.
Addressing a public gathering in Bulandshahr he said, “Today, the Kanwar Yatra is organised in a grand way in the state. Our cities are now being seen as smart cities rather than garbage dumps.”
“Bulandshahr is known for its historical background in the freedom movement, the chief minister said.
“Today, this district's pottery sector has established its own identity on the global stage. The double engine government is building a medical college in Bulandshahr in the name of Kalyan Singh ji,” he added.
Targeting the opposition parties, he further said that they turned the state into heaps of garbage and handed guns to the youth, whereas we were developing smart and safe cities, giving tablets to our youth, and linking them with technology and training.
Chief Minister Yogi said that investment proposals worth Rs 35 lakh crore had been received through the Global Investors Summit. With this, more than one crore youth would get job opportunities. Our government was also working on reducing the distance between the cities. For this, we were building highways and expressways.
He said that there was no dearth of money for development. A triple engine government was needed to increase the pace of development by three times. The time had come to add a third engine to the double engine by ensuring that the BJP wins the municipal elections.
