Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath slammed the Samajwadi Party, accusing it of being responsible for scams, fielding terrorists, criminals and orchestrating riots every fourth day during its regime.
Addressing public meetings at Madhuban, Ghosi, Mau Sadar and Muhammadabad-Gohna Assembly constituencies on Wednesday, Yogi trained his guns at Samajwadi Party and said, "Few years ago, the mafia dominated Mau, one of them crushed Ram-bhakt Hindus and opened fire at them. Previous governments were at their mercy. However, today, we have sent them to their rightful place."
Targeting the SP, the Chief Minister stated, "What was the condition of Mau five years back? The mafia and criminals used to harass the public, traders. But after the formation of a BJP government, criminals have vanished from the state and are begging for their lives."
Maintaining that the BJP was committed to providing an environment of safety while ensuring development of the state, Yogi remarked, "Humara bulldozer bolta nahi hai par bade-bade mafiaon ki bolti band karwa deta hai."
"Had SP been there, their henchmen would have sold the ration. Before 2017, the goons of SP used to gulp the ration of the poor. BSP's elephant has such a huge belly that it could eat the ration of the entire state," he said.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister said that the BJP regime eliminated extortion by criminals that rose to power during previous governments. "Humne 'gunda-tax' dene ki parampara ko khatam kiya," he said.
Accusing opposition parties of isolating themselves from people during the Corona pandemic, Yogi said, "At the time of Covid-19, the Union and UP governments and the BJP public representatives ventured out to serve people but nothing was known about opposition leaders. All of them were in home isolation and self-quarantined. When these people did not reach out to you in crisis, they should be asked to keep aloof in elections as well. They were on Twitter during the pandemic and they will be given replies on Twitter itself."
Lambasting the opposition for trading in politics of lies and misleading people on Covid vaccine, Yogi said that it was because of the same 'Modi/BJP vaccine' that the third wave of Covid ended in no time.
The Chief Minister assured that if the BJP government was formed again, free LPG will be given to every poor during Diwali and Holi, free scooty will be provided to meritorious girl students, amount of money given under Kanya Sumangala Yojana will be increased to Rs 25,000 while under Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana, Rs 1 lakh will be transferred.
Maintaining that the development of the youth was high on BJP's list of priorities, Yogi promised free digital access to two crore youths along with smartphones / tablets and Abhyudaya coaching centers for those preparing for various entrance examinations.
"In the next five years, the BJP will work to connect one member of every family with a job, employment, or self-employment scheme," he added.
Taking a dig at the Samajwadi Party, Yogi said, "SP Leaders are well aware of the election results and that is why they are all ready to quit the state after March 10.
"Stating that the SP government stopped the pensions transferred to the handicapped, widows and elderly, the Chief Minister said that the BJP government increased it to Rs 12,000 annually, and will increase it further from Rs 12,000 to Rs 18,000 in the next five years..Yogi said that under the double engine government of UP nearly 45,420 people got houses in the district under the PM/CM Awas Yojana.
Accusing his predecessors of failing to undertake development work in UP, the Chief Minister said that Samajwadi Party's development was only confined to the boundary walls of 'Kabristan' (graveyard) and added,
"Previous governments lacked the vision and the intent to develop the state."An enthused Yogi said, "After five phases of polling, I can say this with confidence that there is a wave in favour of the BJP and it will get an absolute majority. Once again the BJP will cross the mark of 330 seats''
Yogi appealed to the people to vote for the BJP as it only could provide 'dangamukt' (riot-free), 'bhaymukt' (fear-free) and 'arajakatamukt' (anarchy free) government.
