Yogi government fails to devise a strategy for development of the state, says Samajwadi Party

The Samajwadi Party charged that the Yogi government Adityanath failed to devise a strategy for development of the state and work in all sectors had come to a grinding halt even after completing 10 months in office.

The party said that the BJP government lacked vision and direction which had particularly affected road, electricity, health and employment generation sectors.

Terming the last 10 months of Yogi government as ` wasted opportunity’, Samajwadi Party spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary said in lucknow on Friday that a sense of `despair’ has gripped the people of the state.  He said that deteriorating law and order had also added to the woes of masses and there seemed no hope of improvement.

Chaudhary said that the farm sector was the worst victim of lethargy and inaction of Yogi government as farmers were getting restive across the state. He said that potato growers failed to get remunerative price for their produce and were forced to throw potatoes on the streets. “Instead of addressing their problem, the government let loose police repression against them,” he said.

The SP leader said that same were the woes of paddy and cane farmers as official agencies were not buying paddy from the farmers and sugar mills had not cleared the dues of the cane growers.

Chaudhary alleged that the BJP in cover of loan waiver had taken the farmers for a ride.  “The government should have issued a white paper on loan waiver thus enabling the people to know about the actual amount of loan of each farmer waived under the scheme,” he said.

Chaudhary alleged that during the BJP misled the people by bringing out a `Sankalp Patr’ during 2017 Assembly poll and the people were swayed by lofty promises made in the document.

Accusing Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of not paying adequate attention to the problems of the state, the SP leader said, “ The CM is busy serving the electoral interests of his party in other states while the administration was busy in myriad `Utsav’ and  festivals.”

Chaudhary said that the BJP government has started a new political tradition of claiming development works done by previous government as its own achievement which was a clear cut act of political misconduct.
