Yogi Government celebrated 100 days in office

A couple of days after Yogi Government celebrated 100 days in office it faced a major crisis when a senior minister in the cabinet and an ally in the government has announced a sit-in outside Ghazipur DM’s office “because officials are not listening to him”.

UP backward welfare and divyang minister and president of the Bharatiya Samaj Party( Suheldeo) Om Prakash Rajbhar, who is said to be opposed to Union minister of state for railways Manoj Sinha has unfurled  abanner of revolt. He declared that he will sit on dharna against the DM Sanjay Khatri from July 4.

“I feel disheartened. The officials are listening to us. We got such a thumping majpority because people felt that BJP and its ally would ameliorate grievances of poor and dalit.  But this is not happening,” Rajbhar told The Pioneer on Sunday.

He said: “When your family members do not listen to you, then you are forced to take some tough decision. The DM was appointed in Ghazipur during the Samajwadi Party rule but he had not been removed yet. When people had voted for us to wipe out corruption and to get justice such thing is not acceptable.”

Though trying to give an impression that his agitation was not against the BJP government but against the DM, the minister said,” I am against the corrupt DM to get justice for the people of Ghazipur.”

When asked why the government was not hearing a plea of the minister, Rajbhar said: “Everyone knows who is protecting this corrupt DM and why a corrupt official is being given patronage. Very soon everything would come out in public.”

Rajbhar said that he had complained to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath  BJP general secretary (organisation ) Sunil Bansal and minister in-charge of Ghazipur Brajesh Pathak about the conspiracy against him but no action has been taken yet.

It has been reported that the minister had asked the DM for doing 19 works in his constituency but none was done yet. “I have given 19 point letter to DM and CM but nothing has happened so far. I met CM on June 27. He had assured all help. But nothing is happening,” he said

The DM Sanjay Khatri, however, refused to comment on the minister’s charge against him.

The state minister Om Prakash Rajbhar has been elected from Zahurabad assembly seat in Ghazipur district.

Meanwhile, sources said that Union minister Manoj Sinha and Om Prakash Rajbhar  were not in good terms because Sinha wanted that the party should promote the Rajbhar leaders of the party rather than going for an alliance with Bharatiya  Samaj Party. Sinha even advised the party to give ticket to one Rajbhar candidate of the BJP from each district in eastern UP but the leadership rejected it.
