The Yogi government reiterated that it will make all efforts to solve the issues of Shiksha Mitras who are agitating over the recent verdict of the Supreme Court.
Appealing to the agitating Shiksha Mitras to attend their schools and wait for the government’s decision, the state government said nothing can be done in hurry as the matter is very complex.
“The government is studying the case and we are very sympathetic towards the case of the Shiksha Mitras. But on the other hand we again appeal to the agitating shiksha Mitras not to close the schools or indulge in violence,” said state government spokesperson and state health minister Sidharthnath Singh here on Tuesday.
Blaming the prevision BSP and then the SP governments for lingering the issue and didn’t do anything to sort out the issue, Singh said the government was serious in the matter but as Allahabad High Court and then the Supreme Court had rejected the pleas of the Shiksha Mitras now the state government t has to move cautiously.
“Earlier the court had given opportunity to the Shiksha Mitras to pass the Teachers Elegibility Test ( TET), but they failed to do so and even the state government at that time did not do anything to help them out,” the minister further said.
Earlier a delegation of the leaders of the Shiksha Mitras met chief minister Yogi Adityanath at his office.
The Shiksha Mitras are agitating on the entire state with around five of them committing suicide after SC ruled that they ceased to be teachers till they can learn TET.
