Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed personnel of UP-100 to forward help and ensure a safer atmosphere to citizens and contribute in maintaining law and order.

Flagging off 1500 motorcycles to be used as Police Response Vehicles (PRVs) in lucknow on Tuesday morning, Yogi said that the added fleet in UP-100 would improve the response time and facilitate quicker help to residents in distress.

The CM also asked the cops to improve upon their behaviour so that the image of the police could indeed be that of Rs Mitra Police’. He said that until the attitude of cops did not change, people would not trust them and share vital inputs or help in  facilitating better law and order in the state.

Hailing the improved crime scenario in the state, Yogi said that there was tremendous improvement on the front in the last 11-months. He claimed  that his government was committed to providing a fearless society to every citizen in the state.

Yogi also presented a key of PVR motorcycle to Additional DG (law and Order) Anand Kumar.

Besides Yogi, senior officers including Principal Secretary (Home) Arvind Kumar and DGP OP Singh were also present on the occasion.

The DGP later said that with the launch of PVRs, the police would improve response time to 10 minutes as these two-wheelers could easily reach congested localities in less time. Singh said that soon they would add more such fleets.
