Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will visit Bundelkhand on Saturday to take stock of development schemes in this rugged area with focus on availability of water for local residents and fodder for animals.
This will be the CM's second visit to Bundelkhand in the last one month. In his last visit to Jhansi, Yogi had inspected a government school on the fringes of the city, went around the district hospital and inspected `mandi samiti' premises.
State BJP general secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak said that Bundelkhand has suffered because of lack of commitment of previous governments to ensure prosperity in the region.
"The priority of this government is to bring prosperity in this region and therefore the CM has decided to visit the area a second time in one month," Pathak said.
"In the last Assembly poll, the BJP had reaped huge dividends from the rugged region winning all 19 seats. During election campaign, the BJP had promised to provide water, food and employment to the people for which the government was working hard to fulfill the promises," he added.
Pathak said that the Chief Minister was alive to the problems of people of Bundelkhand. "Water woes of this region will end within the next two years. We will speed up development and change the face of Bundelkhand in a very planned manner," the BJP leader said.
