Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Saturday that the new budget would be according to the aspirations of 25 crore people, and would be aimed at fulfilling the resolutions of ‘Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra’ as the government is committed to fulfilling the promises made in the run-up to elections.

The directives were given on Saturday by the chief minister during a review meeting with government officials where officials of the ranks of additional chief secretary, principal secretary and secretary participated.

The chief minister reviewed the department-wise utilisation of funds provided in the current financial budget and gave necessary guidelines to expedite development works as per public expectations.

“All the departments should prepare and send their budgetary proposals according to their future plans. The upcoming budget will be in line with the aspirations of 25 crore people,” the CM said and asked the officials to ensure that before the end of the current financial budget, funds provided in the current budget were properly utilised by all the departments.

“We are getting all possible help from the Central government for the overall development of the state. Get the balance amount by coordinating with the Centre. The ministers themselves should communicate with their counterparts at the Centre. Work should be continued by releasing the state share as per rules,” Yogi said.

Highlighting the grey areas, the CM said different departments like Home Guard, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Cooperative, PWD, Disabled People Empowerment, MSME, Urban Development, Forest, and Vocational Education will have to intensify their efforts in spending according to the allocation.

Yogi said that in the next two months, employment fairs would be organised in all the assembly constituencies. The Employment department should prepare an action plan in collaboration with the Industries department, he added.

“Consumers should be encouraged for timely payment of electricity bills. For this, it is necessary that people get the right bills and on time. Overbilling, false billing or late billing disturbs the consumers. To improve this system, the Energy department will have to prepare a concrete action plan to increase the billing and collection efficiency,” the chief minister said.

During the dialogue with public representatives, proposals for establishment of new bus stations were also received. “Our effort to build 23 new fully-equipped bus stations has evoked a good response. This should be expedited,” the CM said, adding at least one modern model bus station should be developed in each district on PPP model.

“All the departments will have to pay attention to aspirational development blocks. Prepare a plan to set up ITI, polytechnic, skill development centres in these districts to provide employment-oriented education to the youth,” he said, adding that emphasis should be laid on skill development of people with disabilities to make them employable.

The CM said all the officers posted in the field, like divisional commissioner, district magistrate, police commissioner, and chief development officer should maintain constant dialogue and remain in contact with local public representatives.
