Yadav says his son had no plans to plunge into politics

A day after the Samajwadi Party indicated that Shivpal Singh Yadav might contest the  2017 Assembly polls from Etah and his son Aditya Yadav from Jaswant Nagar (Etawah), the senior SP leader said that his son had no plans to debut in politics.

Yadav is presently an MlA from the  Jaswant Nagar seat in Etawah - a seat which has been held by the SP for the last 30 years. The SP had indicated that Shivpal Yadav will shift to the neighbouring Etah to quell intra-party bickering and make way for son Aditya to contest from Jawant Ngar in 2017.

"Aditya will neither enter politics nor contest Assembly polls. He will continue to serve the people though co-operative institutions,'' clarified PWD and Irrigation ministrer, Shivpal Yadav in Etawah on Thursday. Aditya Yadav is presently the  elected Chairman  of Pradesh Co-operative Federation (PCF).

"The 2017 Assembly poll is like now or never thing for the Samajwadi Party and so the party  would apply utmost discretion and diligence in deciding candidates. Winnability and loyalty for the party would be the two basic criteria for selection of candidates'', said Yadav.

On the reception for his recently married son being hosted by former SP leader Amar Singh in Delhi, the SP leader said, ``No political inference be drawn from the event. Amar Singh is like extended family and the reception organised in Delhi was a family affair'.'
