The rebellion by the estranged uncle of the chief minister comes close on the heels of the Samajwadi party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav  refusing to campaign for the Samajwadi party –Congress alliance and asking his supporters to contest elections against the Congress to defeat the grand old party.

``I will float the new political party as I am left with very few options. The insult of Mulayam Singh Yadav has deeply pained me and I will decide my future course of action after the assembly election results are announced on. March 11,” said Shivpal Yadav  while addressing a  meeting at the exhibition grounds in Etawah on Tuesday after filing his nomination papers.Shivpal also said that `` I would  have contested the election as an indepdent candidate had the party denied me the ticket ‘’.

Shivpal Yadav challenged the SP president Akhilesh Yadav saying`` you win the elections and form the next government in UP, I will float new party after the assembly elections’’.  Tej Pratap Yadav, grandson of Mulayam Singh Yadav and lok Sabha MP from Mainpuri and Shivpal’s brother in law Agent Singh Yadav, block pramukh was also, present when Shivpal Yadav filed his papers.

Shivpal also attacked the SP-Congress alliance. . ``The Congress is not the worth of even four seats in UP, yet the SP conceded 105 seats to it. Sharing of disproportionate number of seats will not only demoralise the SP cadres but also weaken the party in those district where the Congress will contest’’, said Shivpal Yadav.

Endorsing the line of his elder brother Mulayam Singh for opposing the Congress, Shivpal Yadav said `` I will follow the policy of Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) and work for defeating the Congress candidates. If any of my supporters is contesting election against the Congress then I will campaign against the Congress’’. It was widely speculated that he was about the quit the SP and contest the election as an independent candidate or as Rashtriya lOk Dal candidate.

Attacking the chief minister Shivpal Yadav said `` Akhilesh Yadav likes only those ministers who are sycophants and dislikes the ministers who had performed in their respective department. The sycophant ministers are active only on the social media where they keep posting their photos with the chief minister’’. Shivpal also alleged that  Akhilesh Yadav created obstacles in his work as minister and many of the files of his department were detained for no rhyme and reason’’.

The dissidents in the SP, all supporters of Shivpal Yadav, have already floated an outfit ``Mulayam Ke log’’ and its office has been set up in Etawah adjacent to the district office of the Sasmajwadi party.  Shivpal Yadav  on Monday had visited the office. Shivpal said: “the volunteers of this outfit are the disciples of ‘Netaji’ and are acting on his instructions. Time has come that you all should all work for propagating the work and ideological legacy of ‘Netaji’ and other Socialist leaders’’.

Raghuraj Singh shakya, sitting SP MlA from Etawah city, has quit the party as party ticket was denied to him.  The disgruntled MlA also pledged his support to Shivpal Yadav.  He asked his supporters, to campaign for Shivpal Yadav.
