UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that the government will ensure that all the investment proposals made during the challenging period of pandemic materialise on the ground. He directed the officials to ensure hundred percent implementation of the investment proposals in a time-bound manner. He said that priority should be given to the projects with employment potential.
Presiding over a meeting of the high-level committee for the implementation of the investment proposals, the CM said that during the pandemic period, 96 investment proposals worth Rs 66,000 crore have been received by the government. He said the process of land allotment to 18 investors with potential of investment of Rs 16,000 crore has been completed.
“For the facility of the investors, a dedicated help desk called ‘Invest UP’ is operational from April 2020 and the government formulated and implemented the UP oxygen production policy in May 2021 for the production of industrial and medical oxygen,” the CM said. He said that attracted by the oxygen policy, several reputed companies have evinced a keen interest in setting up oxygen plants in UP. He asked the officials to maintain a close coordination with the companies interested in setting up oxygen plants in UP. Yogi directed the officials concerned to expedite the process to take up all the pending MoUs.
The CM said that the investors have posed confidence in the investor-friendly policies of the state government during the pandemic. He said the operation of the manufacturing industries was normal in the state during the lockdown and industrial units complied with the Covid protocols. He asked the officials to be in constant touch with the investors and provide them all the facilities required.
Yogi asked the officials along with the monitoring at the state level that the grievances and problems faced by the investors and entrepreneurs be addressed at the district level on priority basis.
