With recent defeats of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in bye-elections still fresh in the minds of party leadership, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that it is unfortunate that despite doing so much of development work credit is not given where it is due.
“I firmly believe that people should vote for that party which carries out development in the state. This is not happening. The votes are going to the parties which are casteist and believe in dynastic politics. These parties are spreading canard and people are getting swayed by those lies,” he said in Bhadohi without taking names of the BSP and Samajwadi Party on Sunday.
He unveiled 106 projects worth Rs 87 crore in this carpet city. Majority of the projects include infrastructure development. He inaugurated 17 projects and laid the foundation of rest of the projects in a function.
later addressing a public meeting he said that vote to that party which carries out development without any bias and provide you security. “This BJP government is committed to usher in development schemes in the state. In last one year we had catered to all the sections of the society – be it farmers or youth. The governance is transparent and no one can raise a finger at us,” he said.
He talked for about half an hour and spoke at length about the development schemes his government has initiated and rued that despite such a progress credit is not given to the organization which is working for the welfare of the masses.
“Some political parties are calling us anti-dalit. This is unfortunate that those parties who have not worked for the welfare of dalit and instead used them as vote bank have emerged as messiah of the dalits and have branded us as anti-dalit,” he said adding: “People should ask what these parties had done for the dalit. If it is true that much has been done in their tenure why dalits remain downtroddenIJ.”
He declared that government will soon open jobs for the educated youth. Earlier jobs were given to people belonging to particular district and caste. Even money used to play an important role in granting jobs. Different state commissions have been asked to start recruitment immediately and it will be carried out in a transparent manner, he said.
“This city is famous for carpet weaving. Government will do its best to promote artisans who weave these carpets,” he said.
CM also distributed certificates to 1025 beneficiaries of different schemes.
