Newly-elected international president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), Vishnu Sadashiv Kokje will visit Ayodhya on Sunday.
A retired judge of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan High Courts and former Governor of Himanchal Pradesh, Kokje was recently elected to the VHP top post after defeating Praveen Togadia.
Kokje will arrive at lucknow airport on Sunday morning and drive down to Ayodhya. He would visit the make-shift Ramjanam Bhoomi temple at Ayodhya and meet Hindu religious leaders associated with the temple movement.
Kokje is scheduled to meet Chairman of Ram Janam Bhoomi Nyas, Mahant Nritya Gopal Das. The trust was floated by the VHP for construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya.
This will be the first visit by a top VHP office bearer to Ayodhya after the BJP came to power at the Centre in May, 2014 and in UP in March, 2017.
