The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Thurday demanded the ouster of UP minister and Suheldeo Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief Om Prakash Rajbhar from the Yogi cabinet for questioning saints and sadhus on the proposed ‘Dharma Sabha’ and issuing statement against Ram temple.
The VHP said that any leader who was opposed to Ram temple could not stay in the BJP ministry. The outfit demanded that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath should sack Rajbhar immediately.
In a statement issued in Lucknow on Friday, VHP spokesperson Sharad Sharma said that Rajbhar was ‘back stabbing’ the government despite being a part of the ministry.
“Derogatory statement against sadhus and saints could be given only by a non-respectable person. How can Rajbhar comment against sadhus and saints when one of the saints is the Chief Minister,” he questioned.
“Insulting sadhus and saints shows his character and his comment against them proves about his faith in Hindu religion,” he said.
Sharma said that seeing the Ram temple movement through political spectacles shows the narrow mindset of Rajbhar. “If the minister was not removed this would annoy sadhus and saints,” he opined.
The VHP leader said that Ram temple would be constructed at any cost and people like Rajbhar would be thrown by the wayside by ‘Ram bhakt Hanumans’ if they tried to create obstacles.
Earlier in a statement issued in Prayagraj, Om Prakash Rajbhar had said that the sudden raking up of Ram temple issue was politically motiviated by the BJP and its think tank.He also questioned as to why sadhus and saints had involved themselves in politics by holding Dharma Sabha in Ayodhya.
SBSP chief and cabinet minister Om Prakash Rajbhar has been a critic of the BJP and UP government for the last over a year but the BJP has refused to take congizance of his diatribes.
