Governor Ram Naik, who is also Chancellor of state universities, has extended the tenure of vice chancellor of Chatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur, Professor JV Vashampayan by three months. The term of the vice chancellor was to end on November 19.
Since the process of selection of his successor is likely to take a few months, the Governor has extended his tenure by three months.
