Amidst clash of opinion particularly from senior leaders who reached Rajya Sabha with the blessings of the Samajwadi Party, Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC) is reportedly planning to come on roads and exposed the state government for it’s failure on various issues.

The Party under the leadership of State president, Nirmal Khatri would take on Samajwadi Party government in issues of failure in maintaining law and order, patronising criminals, anti-social elements and those involved in huge scams, not clearance of dues to cane growers, farmers, hike in power tariff, Value Added Tax (VAT) on petro-products etc. However, the senior leaders had yet to decide any final date for the demonstration.

RsRsWe wanted to clear the confusion into the minds of public that we had any tactical understanding with Samajwadi Party as it would badly hit our Party’s prospect in the coming Assembly elections scheduled for 2017”, asserted a senior Congress leader who also remained minister in the State government.

RsRsThe help forwarded by SP during United Progressive Alliance regime in the Centre, or our understanding during election to Rajya Sabha or to State legislative Council or even on couple of seats during last Parliament elections, all raised confusion into the minds of the public that we had some hidden pact with Samajwadi Party but now the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee would clear it by launching an all out attack on the functioning of the State government and it’s failure to take on any developmental work or even providing a peaceful atmosphere to the citizen”, claimed the leader while disclosing that probably in the next month, they will took road to expose the Akhilesh Yadav’s government.

When asked that majority of Congress legislatures were seen sitting in the treasury bench to get their work down during Assembly session than what the signal would go when the UPCC leaders are on road against the State Government while the Party MlAs were sitting by chief minister’s side getting their work done, former minister said that it would be not so now. RsRsAll the Congress leaders would take on ruling Party both on roads and in the State Assembly”, he quipped while defending the Party MlAs for their unethical approach in the Assembly.

He further asserted that the senior leaders were already discussing for a massive demonstration against the State government when the Assembly session would be in progress. He claimed that some leaders are of the view to stage demonstration during birth anniversary of former prime minister, Rajeev Gandhi, falling of August 20 but they had yet to get clearance from the high command. He said that the main issues which they would high-light during their show would be deteriorating law and order, rising cases of crime against women, rising prices, increase in  VAT on petrol and power tariff hike, non payment of arrears to cane growers, non-payment of compensation to the farmers whose crop was damaged due to untimely rains etc.
