Uttar Pradesh Congress committee has gone on an election mode and has convened couple of meetings next week to gear up the party cadre for the lok Sabha polls.
AICC general secretary and in-charge of UP Madhusudan Mistri will chair the meetings on February 14 and 15 in the presence of party state president Nirmal Khatri. State media committee chairman Satyadev Tripathi said here on Thursday that on February 14, all the Congress candidates in the 2012 assembly elections have been asked the attend a meeting in the state party headquarters in the afternoon. In 2012 assembly elections, Congress had contested in 356 seats out of the total 403 Assembly elections.
Tripathi said after the meeting with the assembly candidates, Mistri is also expected to hold discussion with the party's spokespersons and their officials of the media department. On February 15, the party leaders will hold a meeting with the zonal in-charges of the Youth Congress and NSUI on the issues of leadership development programme.
