UPCC for action against IAS, IPS officers found guilty of helping Sengar

The Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee, while attacking the Uttar Pradesh government for just recommending departmental proceedings against then district magistrate of Unnao and two superintendents of police found guilty in the CBI investigation on charges of negligence in the Kuldeep Singh Sengar rape case, said that the name of those ministers should come out who indirectly helped Sengar.
UPCC chief Ajay Kumar Lallu said the Congress was committed to ensuring justice to Unnao’s daughter.
“We have been saying from the very beginning that there are very big officials involved in this whole matter. The CBI has recommended action against three officers, then DM Aditi Singh, SP Neha Pandey, Pushpanjali and ASP Ashtabhuja Singh. This is just the beginning. Those who gave patronage to Kuldeep Singh Sengar should be exposed so that the world can know the truth about how those behind the slogans of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao were engaged in saving a rapist.
Lallu said that the names of ministers and legislators of the BJP government should now come to the fore.
“After all, the then DM and the SP of Unnao were assisting rapist Kuldeep Singh Sengar at the behest of the BJP leaders,” he charged.
The UPCC chief alleged that at that time, many ministers and MLAs of the BJP government were openly defending rapist Kuldeep Sengar. “Will Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath take any action against these MLAs and ministers too?” he asked.
